Join Us in Supporting Local Small Businesses! About The Founders Zane’s Carolina Expo was founded by Dr. Chef Zane Marks and Dr. Akilah Marks, owners of Zane’s Carolina Seasoning. Inspired by their passion for entrepreneurship and community development, they created the Expo to support fellow small business owners and strengthen local economic growth. Since establishing their company in 2015, the Marks have built a successful brand around Zane Gray’s Vegetable Seasoning, a unique blend distributed throughout the United States and available in major grocery stores across North Carolina. Having spent nearly a decade as vendors themselves, Dr. Zane and Dr. Akilah understand both the challenges and rewards of operating a small business. The relationships, support, and encouragement they received throughout their entrepreneurial journey inspired them to create an event that gives back to the vendor community. Their vision is to host Zane’s Carolina Expo twice each year, creating a professional, family-friendly environment where vendors, food trucks, sponsors, and shoppers can connect, discover new opportunities, and build lasting relationships.
