The City of Sanford Appearance Commission invites the community to “Juneteenth: Freedom Songs,” a free evening of music and spoken word that explores the fight for freedom. The event will feature a blend of original and traditional music from: –The Brenda Johnson Community Choir –Ray Owen with Rod Brower and the Together-N-Unity Choir This year’s program is a tribute to the W.B. Wicker Class of 1966 and is dedicated to Brenda Johnson. The event is free and open to all.
